is an A.R.A.M (Associate of the Royal Academy of Music) which is an honorary diploma awarded by the Royal Academy for services to music. She also has the L.R.A.M. in piano teaching as well as a Certificate in Education for school class teaching (a previous career). She offers one-to-one piano lessons based on a very efficient teaching technique developed over 15 years in a variety of situations.
All these combine with the techniques of playing and teaching which she assimilated from periods of study at The University of City (HK) and The Royal Academy of Music.
By careful judgement of the student's strengths and weaknesses, she tailors the lessons to the needs of that particular person and thereby ensure regular progress and enjoyment. On of her main goals is to help the students understand how to practice when the teacher is NOT there.
This is where the real progress is achieved. She also believes picking lovely pieces that students enjoy is very important too.
Sandy (Piano) - sandy@grandpiano.hk
offers one-to-one music lessons (piano / vocal) mainly to all ages. These lessons also include theory of music. She has a Certificate in Education for school class teaching major in Music. They all love her lessons and their own progress so much that they often stay with her up to and including the advanced grades in practical and theory.
The exams are taken with the ABRSM (The world's leading music exam board). Lessons can also be purely for pleasure. Her own love of playing the piano stems back from her childhood lessons.
As an adult she worked through the English music exams with distinction and acquired different method of teaching and playing the piano, which combines well with her own musical
training. This added to her tremendous patience and experience being an ideal piano teacher.
Amy Pang (Piano) - amy@grandpiano.hk
is graduated from York University (Toronto, Canada), holding Bachelor Degree in Music Performance (Piano). She has a post-graduate diploma in teaching from Chinese University (Hong Kong). Amy has worked in primary schools as a Music teacher for 10 years and also has been leading Choir and Percussion Band at schools.
Amy has been teaching piano for more than 10 years. She uses different approaches in teaching to cater different students' needs. She hopes students have fun in the lessons as well as learning.

Crystal (Piano) - crystal@grandpiano.hk
is graduated from Monash University Melbourne, Australia holding Bachelor degree of Art and a Post-Graduate Art Certificate. She has also achieved a Piano Performance Diploma from Trinity College. Crystal has been enjoying teaching piano to students of all ages for over 8 years. Her main goal is to develop and nurtune studetns natural playing ability by encouraging a creative practice which is both rewarding and stimulating.

is holding a piano diploma in Trinity and a piano professional high diploma from Chinese University of Hong Kong.
She is a professional and responsible piano and music theory teacher. She has been teaching both primary students and secondary students for 10 years.Her objective is to cultivate students' interest in music through learning.

received her Bachelor of Art (Music) Degree at the University of Queensland, Australia. She played in various music concerts by The Queensland Symphony Orchestra in major venues such as The Queensland Performing Art Centre, The Suncrop Stadium and St. John’s Cathedral Church.
Over 7 years of national and international experiences teaching with diverse group, Sharon obtained her Orff Schulerk Teacher’s Certificates (Level Two) by the Australian National Council of Orff Schulerk with Dr. Carol Richards, the Orff Teacher’s Training Workshops offered by the Queensland Orff Schulwerk Association. Besides, she participated in the International Dalcroze Workshop hosted by the Dalcroze Society, the Infant Massage Instructor’s Training Course runs by the Infant Massage Information Service, Australia (IMIS) and the Community Drum Facilitator Training by Arthur Hull.
During her undergraduate years, Sharon has been active in teaching and accompanying at the local choirs, music classes, schools and conservatoires, featuring The Yip’s Children Choral and Performing Art Centre and The Hong Kong Children’s Choir.
Charis Shiu (Piano) -charis@grandpiano.hk
is graduated from Hong Kong Institute of Education, holding certificate and Bachelor degree of Music Education. She is a qualified piano and music teacher who has been teaching piano for 12 years, and teaching music in primary and secondary school for 7 years. Charis has many musical experiences such as leading choir, pop band as well as ensemble, coordinating musical and composing songs. As a pianist, she has been invited to play music in events like wedding, church service and concert. She is also a clarinetist of HKIED Orchestra and is able to teach clarinet. With her knowledge of music, along with her enthusiasm for music, she is a caring, lively and passionate teacher.

Karen(Piano, Singing, Dizi, Theory of Chinese Music and Western Music, DSE Music) -karen@grandpiano.hk
has obtained Master of Arts (Music) from CUHK and Bachelor of Secondary Education (Music). She has the DipABRSM in Piano Performance from Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM), Performance diploma in Dizi from International Examination Board of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Grade 8 in Singing from ABRSM. She has been an instrumental tutor for more than 10 years.
Besides instrumental teaching, she has taught New Senior Secondary Music (for the students who are preparing for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE).
